Kamote Club's FUNNY and WORTH-WATCHING videos

As a listener of FM stations here in the Philippines, I always make sure that I am updated on every programs of a station especially my favorite radio station which is 93.9 iFM Manila. When I first heard Kamote Club’s DJs Pakito Jones and Sir Rex Kantatero singing a familiar song but with different lyrics, it was so funny that I literally rolled on the floor while laughing. Sorry but that’s my habit hehe.

I first heard their parody of the song Chinito by Yeng Constantino but renamed it with Bagito LOL. There was a time when a video scandal of two students doing something had spread online and trended. Pakito Jones and Sir Rex Kantatero used that issue on making a parody. They always make sure that they create a parody based on what is trending and because of that, many of their videos on Youtube has a lot of views.

Whenever they release a parody, they always focus on a certain topic or issue. Bagito for example, focused on the issue of two highschool students caught going all the way at their school (you know what I mean haha). Their way of changing the lyrics was so funny. From the rhyming of the words to their way of singing was also funny. Maybe this was the reason why they became an online Youtube sensation. Many of their videos also have a lesson on it. They sometimes put their own comments on that issue and sometimes put their advices on it so I find watching their videos worth-watching. Not only that but you will find yourself singing their song over and over again, Last Song Syndrome because of their songs. It'll be stucked in your head for a long time like what happened to me lol

(this is their parody of Chinito that I'm talking about hahaha)

From that time on, I subscribed to their Youtube channel (I’ll just drop the link at the end of this essay if you too want to watch their funny videos, prepare your mouth and stomach ‘cause I’m sure you’ll be laughing too hard like me haha) and I always make sure to watch their videos whenever they release one. And now, they released another song that became a hit instantly which is their parody of the song Whip Nae Nae by  Silento which is focused on the video with girls who call themselves the “pabebe” girls. Hahahahaha (I laughed too hard at this I’M NOT JOKING! )

I highly recommend watching their videos especially to those people who do not do anything online but to watch different nonsense stuffs (e.g. stuffs like porn you know bahaha)  Instead of watching that kind of videos, you might just want to watch Kamote Club’s parodies. Not only you will laugh but also, you will learn!

93.9 iFM The no. 1 FUN FM radio station in the Philippines

If you are a big fan of radio stations here in the Philippines or if you are an avid listener of radio, you will notice that every radio station claims that they are the number one radio station here in the Philippines. But is that really true? I always asks people why every radio stations here in the Philippines especially fm stations always has this “tagline” that they are the number one radio station like for example this line “You are listening to the number one radio station” or maybe “You are tuned in to the number one radio station” and then when you change the frequency  and listen to other stations you will hear some lines with the same thought but with different way of delivery like for example, “There’s only one radio station that you need to listen to and that is blah blah blah”. See? I don’t really get why almost ALL radio stations think that way and I know that it is not only me who is confused about it. But never mind that, I think that is one of their strategies so many people would stay tuned in to their station knowing that the station they are listening to is the number one here in the Philippines.

In terms of being populace or “pang-masa” in tagalog, I believe that iFM has proved that they are at the top. Not only because of their set of music that is wanted by people who are not in the high level of society, me as an example of course, but because of the people talking behind the mic which are the DJs of iFM Manila. iFM DJs or disc jockeys I am talking about have personalities that ordinary people can relate especially because of the way they talk. I am always very happy every time I listen to 93.9 iFM because all the DJs talk just like an ordinary person so all people who are listening can easily relate and understand what they are talking about. Unlike other stations that only talk like they are talking to some foreigners and not even thinking of those people who are listening who can’t even understand what they’e talking about. See the difference? Just by observing how the DJs communicate to the people/listeners, you can easily come up with the idea that iFM is really a “pang-masa” radio station here in the Philippines. Not only that, the Djs are also very friendly and accommodating whenever some avid listeners go to the station’s location and visit them just like what I’ve experienced. Here are a couple of photos of me and my friends when we visited the station together with the super friendly DJs of iFM including Pakito Jones and Sir Rex Kantatero of Kamote Club and Daniel Padila of Time To Share,

And I also really like the fact that they consider song requests sent by their listeners. Obviously, I always send song requests and immediately got answered because I always hear my requested song playing on air. Addition to that is they also accept some messages like for example you want to greet someone a happy birthday, you’ll just have to send a text on their textline and they will greet that person for you. These are few reasons why I really love listening to this station and for me 93.9 iFM is the REAL Number 1 FUN FM Radio Station in the Philippines.
